Most of the time things are controlled by the team's managing director. Even though it's a global firm, all the calls for the team are taken by the respective managing director. And more often than not, MDs are interested in maintaining their P&L above everything else. Even though overall salaries are decent (a bit below other strategy consulting firms), the salary structure is not very employee-friendly.
