-The pay package is best in the industry
- Travel benefits are excellent
- Excellent initial training at Malaysia - something you can carry with you even if you leave the industry
Salary - Excellent
Dislikes
- Management has no idea about things happening. They blindly lay out plans and demands without understanding the actual reality
- Politics, politics and lots of it. If you can butter your manager and agree to everything he says (even if it isn’t ethically correct) then you have a future in terms of growth. You will be promoted onlyif you are willing to “hold the bucket”
- Inhuman and ethic-less managers who don’t care an ounce about the staff. They just see the staff as a means to an end. They just want results and don’t care how it is achieved
- Company pays you an additional amount in your monthly salary if you don’t take any sick leave (which is good yes) but torture you when you take sick leaves. You won’t be entitled to the additional amount if you take any sick leave more than one month
- The shift supervisors don’t know the job but ended up in their positions and are very incompetent And uncooperative
- If you can tell your manager everything the staff are talking about (spill the inside beans) you will be considered the perfect staff otherwise you will be tagged as “useless” and they will call you that to your face
- Abusive and threatening managers. If you speak up for yourself they will abuse you verbally and threaten you. No use taking it to higher authorities because they just don’t care.
- Forget about having a work-life balance. You’re supposed to be working for 10 hours but they will overwork you everyday adding up to 12-13 hours. You CANNOT do anything other than work. Say goodbye to your personal and social life
- Where taking leaves is a right to an employee, at AirAsia it is a favour. You will have to beg and plead for availing leaves. Also the number of days you get leave will vary staff to staff. If you get less than another staff the supervisor will give you a reason you can only laugh at and nothing else. There is no standard leave policy and depends on the person approving it
- FAVOURITISM - Worst of its kind you’ll find here...Read More
