Progressive group.big thinking.supportive bosses. Trainings are provided. Job security for performing personal. Good salaries.

Dislikes

No clear cut work responsibility even at senior positions. Lot of politics due to majority people joined from different government companies such as NTPC, BHEL, STATE ELECTRICITY BOARDS, Power Grid, RELIANCE etc. So they have brought their work culture also.No work life balance. Prople seat late evening just to impress bosses. Seating late till 9pm is routine. Organisation is top heavy. When compared to other organisations, even though you may be working as a GM but your job responsibilities will be of Sr Manager level. Sometimes even below.Basically you are down graded.There are many people to do the same work. Centralised control from corporate. Less liberty to site team.Lot many departments without any clear cut work definition. For example no body knows the work responsibility of project management and control group.Project teams are not cohesive. Department heads mainly from many power companies and are at VP/ Sr. VP levels but no body takes overall project responsibility. Howevet most of them were at junior level in their parent organisation but they got elevated due to shortage of power professionals hence they do'nt fit to their new responsibilities. CEO power is young and dynamic and actually works as project head and resolves the issues which could have been resolved at project manager level.Even authority of CEO is not well established. Work get delayed due to involvement of two many people in work chain. Unnecessary two many complicated procedures to delay the work.for example a fomal purchase order time extension to release vendor payments with no decision on LD may take more than one month if all concerned work as per their allotted time. Management is not fully professional and there is some interference from owners. Overall not a professional working environment and liberty to take decisions even at mid mgmt levels at Dy. GM and above and top management level Avp/ VP levels. Decision taking by previleged group and that may take lot of time....Read More
