Seeking Career Guidance and Advice on Growth Opportunities
Hello everyone, I have a background in WordPress, HTML, and CSS. I worked with a startup for a year, focusing on these technologies, and then joined another startup where I worked for 9 months, earning a package of 4.56 LPA, with the same tech stack. I left that role in November 2023 and joined a new company in May 2024 with an initial package of 3.8 LPA. However, within 3 months, I managed to increase my salary to 4.6 LPA. Unfortunately, my current role is unclear in terms of responsibilities, and I’m primarily working on non-technical tasks, which has been frustrating. I’m actively applying for new jobs but haven’t included my most recent position on my resume, which has resulted in a 1-year gap in my career timeline. I’m looking for advice on how to navigate this situation, especially in terms of getting back into a more technical role with a good salary package. Any guidance on how to best approach my career growth, manage this gap, or secure a better opportunity. Thank You

Bro, focus on upskilling in-demand tech (like JavaScript frameworks or backend dev), show off your earlier work, and spin the gap as learning time. It’ll help you land a better role fast!

Changing jobs often and leaving gaps can make employers hesitant, focus on building tech skills through projects or certifications

I personally don't consider wordpress as a tech stack anyway. So I suggest learning some front end framework like React or Angular along with good html and css skills and you won't find any problems landing a well playing job in no time. If you are more interested in the backend, learn some popular frameworks like Spring boot or Asp.net core etc for more opportunities. But with your experience I'd stick with front end if I were you.
