Seeking advice on Salary earning
Dear Friends,
I am currently working with a reputed Stainless steel company in India and associate with this company since the inception of my career in 2009.I completed my B.E.in 2009 and MBA in 2020 .
My CCTC is 12.5 Lacs only which is too low as per industry average and I have not received any promotion in the last 6 years .
I think long association with a single company is undervaluing yourself.
Kindly guide How much salary should I ask for if I move to another relatable company and justification for this hike ??
Kindly assist ,Your insight are really helpful to me.

You'll need to ask for a standard 40% hike as a base to get into interviews. Then keep using one offer letter after another to increase your pay. A bit unethical but that's how it works normally. Hardly any HR would give you a 100% hike directly.

Considering your experience and qualifications, you can easily ask for a CTC of 20–25 LPA in a similar role. What industries are you eyeing for the switch?

15 saal ka experience + MBA = Power combo....You can definitely aim for a 60–80% hike in a similar domain. Want help with salary benchmarking for stainless steel roles?

Let’s do some quick math. With 15 years of experience and an MBA..you should at least be in the 20-25 LPA bracket. What do others in this thread think?

Why people on Notice periods start acting like dumbs?

Imagine this: Your company's head suddenly turns into a wish-granting genie (magic lamp included)! But there’s a catch—you can only ask for ONE wish. 🤔My Wish:- 2 Months paid leave in a year :)or I’d wish for a ‘Boss Swap Day’ where employees get to be the CEO for 24 hours. Let’s see how the other side lives—power, perks, and all!" 😄Tell me your wishes below

When to switch
I recently graduated in 2024 with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science and Engineering. I have secured a job as a Business Analyst at an eCommerce brand with a salary package of 4.5 LPA. Considering I graduated from a tier 3 college and got the job off-campus, is this a good package? What should I focus on next: skill development or switching skills? If I choose to skill up, how should I go about it? Should I join a course or pursue certifications? Additionally, I am curious abou...
Toxic Work Environment
Hi Everyone.I recently joined a company to grow, but the work environment is toxic. The manager is rude, doesn’t guide, and gets angry when I ask questions. They rely on Excel for tasks instead of proper tools like Jira, and tasks lack clear details. Many seniors have quit, and the team is disorganized. HR couldn’t help, and the stress is affecting my mental health. Should I stay or resign? Will leaving early harm my career? If I stay, how can I manage this .without losing my peace?
