For a 1-year investment, I'd recommend considering liquid funds or short-term debt funds. These funds offer relatively stable returns with lower risk compared to equity funds.

If you wish to take risk you can invest aggressively in quant related fund which has lower exit load too. The capital will not be affected. If you want to stay safe with lower returns you can opt for debt fund

If the duration is only 1 year, go for FD currently we are getting good returns in FD for a 1-2 year time period.

Instead of lump sum, go for monthly SIP. This helps in averaging over market fluctuations. If only one fund, go for index funds such as nifty 50 or bluechips. Less risk, stable growth.

If your time horizon is 1 year then go for liquid funds or FDs. You can invest in arbitrage funds too.

I recommend consulting with a financial advisor to get advice based on your financial situation and goals. They can help you assess your risk tolerance, select appropriate funds.
