Off-Campus Startup Job Search: Seeking Advice
Final year B.Tech here, with 6 months of freelance dev experience. College placements are uncertain, so I'm focusing on off-campus, ideally product-focused startups.
* Where do I find these opportunities?
* What skills do startups value in my position?
* How best to network with startup teams?
* What to look for in a startup's product/growth?
* What's key to prepare for a startup role?
Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Look for startup roles that give you exposure to the whole product, not just backend/frontend. Product companies love candidates who can think through the user journey and contribute to all stages of the product life cycle. GitHub and LinkedIn are great for connecting with people in startups.

I also focused on off-campus opportunities, and the best part of working at a startup is the exposure you get. Make sure your resume shows your ability to be self-driven and agile, as startups love those qualities!

[an assistant manager](username) yeah that's the main reason I want to work in a startup. Well, thanks for sharing your thoughts

Freelance dev for 6 months? You’re probably already ahead of most applicants. Just bring your ‘I can build anything’ attitude to interviews and you’ll be fine.

I’d recommend checking out AngelList or even platforms like Glassdoor for startup job postings. For skills, they usually look for people who can wear multiple hats – coding, debugging, and product thinking. Networking with founders or team members on LinkedIn could open doors too.
