It’s better to be transparent. Even if the first role wasn’t ideal, leaving it off could create issues during background checks. Did you gain any skills during those 9 months that you can showcase positively?

Why are you hesitant to include it? Is it because you feel it doesn’t add much value, or are you worried about how recruiters might perceive it?

If the company does background checks, it’s safer to include it. But how would you explain the gap if you decide to leave it off?

You can include the experience but mark it as a short-term role. Were there any tools, technologies, or processes you learned during that time that are worth highlighting..

What was your reason for leaving the first role? If it’s something like seeking a better opportunity, recruiters might understand if you present it well.

Companies value honesty, so it’s better to mention it. But what kind of roles are you applying for now?
