Need Advice on Offer Retention and Career Move
Hi all,
I need your advice on a career decision. I am having 2.7 years of experience. In October, I received an offer of 10.5 LPA (10% variable). My current CTC is 7.8 LPA, all fixed. My current company is now trying to retain me with an offer of 10.75 LPA, all fixed, along with a potential appraisal in April (though I expect the appraisal percentage to be quite low).
I still have 36 days left to join the new company.
I'm at a crossroads and unsure about the ideal decision. Should I accept the retention offer, stick with my current company, or keep trying for better opportunities?
At the moment, I'm not receiving interview calls for DevOps and SRE roles, which is my preferred domain.
Any advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance! ๐

I have a crush on a coworker who's higher up and earns more๐
We work in different departments, and while she is two years younger than me, she belongs to a higher pay grade of employees who earn almost twice as much as I do, although we do almost similar work. Do you have any tips on how to approach her without making things awkward?
Notice period negotiation
I resigned from my current company a couple of days ago. I have a 90 day notice period. I tried to negotiate it with my manager of the current company, asking to release early as the new company has early requirements and also on a medical ground basis, but my manager is not agreeing. I tried to talk with the HR of my current company. HR is ready to give the "buy out" option and I am also ok with it. But for the "buy out" to happen, HR needs something officially written from my manager that I do...
