Narayana Murthy Says Nationalism May Be Holding Us Back in Today's Globalized World
I came across an interesting perspective from Narayana Murthy recently. He spoke about the difference between nationalism and patriotism in today's interconnected world. His take? Patriotism is about working wholeheartedly to improve society, while nationalism, in its rigid form, might not be ideal in a globally connected economy.
It got me thinking how do we balance pride in our country with the need to collaborate beyond borders? In a world where innovation, trade, and even challenges like climate change cross national lines, does nationalism sometimes limit progress? Or do we still need a strong sense of it to stay united as a nation?
Would love to hear your thoughts! Where do you stand on this?

Murthy sir is right! Nationalism is outdated in today’s world. If we focus too much on borders, we’ll fall behind in innovation. Collaboration is the key..

[a sales executive](username) That’s easy to say when you’re using a foreign phone, wearing international brands, and working in an MNC. What happens when global companies exploit India’s market without giving back? Nationalism is about self reliance, not isolation.

During COVID, countries had to collaborate for vaccines but also secure their own supplies first. Was nationalism helpful or harmful then?
