Manager interferes too much in scrum team
New project, new team setup, I am the only old scrum master. They hired an IT manager from Delloi*e meaning full consulting mindset, not the mindset of IT.
Now we follow SAFe
This guy interferes in how a scrum master should work, handle the team.
He even said wants the team to come at 10.30 and leave at 7.30
He even said I will make devs work 10 hours each day
So basically that same consulting toxic habits he wants to carry forward to here.
Now if we scrum master try to give a feedback, he takes it in ego and will never agree and oppose it
How as a scrum master can I handle this situation? How can I make him stop interfering in the team?
Suggestion please

You're the scrum master, and you know what's best for your team. He should respect this and give you enough space. Don't be afraid to stand up for yourself and your team's needs.

You can have an open conversations with the IT manager, focusing on how his interference might negatively impact the team's productivity.

[outstandingbruce](username) If that doesn't work, maybe you could bring in a neutral party, like a HR representative or a higher-up, to mediate the situation. They might be able to help both of you find a compromise.

Totally feel your bro !! Usually whenever a new manager or boss joins in they try to take the control and never appreciate the old running process. Sometimes in good as a new person can see the improvement areas and implement the same. But sometime as a manager you have to unlearn things to get into the new environment. Unfortunately your Manager is from big 4 and things and mindset is totally different there... You mentioned you are old in the system so i think open conversation is the only key to assist you here. Just talk to him share your working experience with previous manager even if it hits his ego (Not sure job to satisfy his ego)
Do you have any option to connect with HR for this
