Heartbroken for My SisteršŸ˜¢

My heart is broken. My sister, who works at Pocket FM was just laid off. She loved her job so much and had been there for years. It's been a tough time for her, especially knowing that she's losing a job she was so passionate about. We're trying to be there for her and offer support, but seeing her so upset is hard. Does anyone have any advice on how to help someone cope with losing a job they loved?šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

Getting laid off is par for the course. Problem is, it's just harder now than ever to find another good job in the industry.

Itā€™s a bummer, but remind her that job does not define her worth.

Some good advice in here. I canā€™t add too much other than recommending a move abroad. My first seven years in radio were in the US, then a station started up in a country far away. Iā€™m on my 23rd year now. Itā€™s been a rewarding adventure. Find a place that is willing to pay well for knowledge and experience. There are opportunities out there.
