Hi Sharks, I am having pf overlap of 1 month , I worked in a company there was a process rampdown they benched me and sent me benching letter and experience letter for the process I worked, now my bgv came red while joining hcl, my previous employer said that I got terminated because I didn’t respond them, I was released on 26oct and joined 2nd org on 21st oct , but in pf portal my first employer released date is 25 november . What to do now ?

Visit neearby PF office and check with them what can be the possible solution for this or else it will hamper your future joinings as well. It will always be on the portal. have you tried checking with the HR of the previous company ?

its a small issue, go to pf office and you might have to submit some documents and write couple of letters and it will get sorted, will take a bit of time though.

I had a PF overlap issue before. It took multiple follow-ups with my old employer’s HR to correct it. If they refuse, you can raise a complaint on the EPFO grievance portal.

Dude, Since you have an experience letter stating you were released on Oct 26, you can present that as proof. However, if your first employer marked you as terminated, you might need to escalate internally or even file a grievance with EPFO.

This is a tricky situation Bro . Since the PF portal still shows you as employed until Nov 25, HCL’s BGV team might see this as dual employment. Try reaching out to your first employer’s HR and request them to update the exit date correctly.
