I recently started working at a new job, but my previous employer is causing me significant stress. Despite my continuous requests, they have not provided me with my relieving letter. They insist that I need to serve a notice period, although I have not signed any document agreeing to this. Additionally, my previous employer does not provide a Provident Fund (PF). This situation has left me wondering about the best course of action: 1. Continue Working at Both Companies: Is it feasible to continue working at both companies, given the lack of PF at my previous job and the stress related to not receiving the relieving letter? 2. Quit the Previous Job: Should I quit my previous job and fully transition to my new role, considering the complications I am facing with the relieving letter and the absence of PF benefits? To provide further context: My previous employer has not issued my relieving letter despite multiple requests. Even though I have not signed any document.

A Team Lead
Continuing with both jobs could risk your reputation in the new role, especially if the previous employer reaches out. Quitting the old one is cleaner and lets you focus fully.
For the relieving letter, have you tried highlighting the absence of a signed agreement in writing to them?
