I recently secured a position in a BPO role and am currently working on enhancing my skills to transition into a technical job. I am considering whether to accept the BPO role or wait for an entry-level position in the tech industry. My concern is whether accepting the BPO role might negatively impact my prospects for future technical interviews. Could you provide some advice on whether taking the BPO position would be advisable, or if it might affect my chances of securing a technical role in the future?

Listen, taking the BPO role might feel like a detour if you're itching to get into tech. But if you need a job now, it’s not the end of the world—keep pushing your tech skills on the side. It might take a bit longer, but as long as you stay focused, it won’t kill your chances for a tech role later.
If you're patient and can wait for that entry-level tech gig, that’s probably the smoother path.

A BPO job can be a good starting point, helping you learn useful skills and get used to working in a company. But it's important to think about what you really want to do in the future and see if this job will help you get there

If your immediate goal is to gain experience and earn a steady income, a BPO role might be a good option. However, if you're focused on a long-term career in the tech industry, you might want to prioritize finding an entry-level technical position.

Hi , You can accept the BPO role to gain experience and build your network. While it might not be directly related to your technical goals, the skills you learn can be valuable. Focus on developing technical skills on the side and actively network to find opportunities in the tech industry. Best of Luck 👍

I’m in a situation and need some guidance.I have a job offer with:CTC: 9.4 LPA fixed + 21% variable = 11.4 LPA total.Location: Chennai (not ideal for me).Another opportunity is in the pipeline, with a more suitable location, but the expected CTC is around 9.4 LPA, which is significantly lower than the first offer. To add to the dilemma, the HR of the second company feels that asking for 12 LPA (considering my 9.4 LPA fixed offer) is too high. How would you approach this decision?
