Hi all,
I am 3Y10M experienced Java Angular Full stack developer with current 8LPA fixed salary and I have offers from both Deloitte Hyderabad and DBS tech Hyderabad offering 16LPA as fixed salary. Could you please suggest which organisation to choose considering WLB and career growth and benefits. TIA

I have been working at my current organization for 2.6 years and started with a CTC of ₹8 lakh, which has remained unchanged since my joining. During this period, I have not received any promotions or salary hikes, which has made me question whether I should wait for growth within the company or explore external opportunities.

I am hopeful of getting a promotion in June this year, but I am unsure if it’s worth waiting for. Here’s what I am considering:

1. Stay and wait for the promotion: There’s a possibility of career progression in June. Should I wait for it, considering the time and effort I have invested here?

2. Start looking for a new opportunity: I could begin exploring other organizations where I might receive a better salary, role, and career growth. However, leaving without securing my next promotion feels uncertain.

Okay, so I have this colleague sitting right in front of me, and he doesn’t stop talking all day. I’ve tried putting on headphones, but this guy still waves his hands in front of my face like, “Oye Oye, ek baat sun !”

I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer.

So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up.
