I got an offer from Shell, Chennai with a hike of approx 40%. But the current organisation offers the same CTC. Suggest, what should I do? The profile is completely changed from maintenance to Reliability. Should i change my home town state and join shell chennai or stay in the same organisation by accepting Hike?

Current Organisation:
Benefit: More savings, Near to Home town, will get promotion in 2 years, 

Disadvantages: More stress and Load. Working from long( 10 years) 

Shell Chennai:
Benefit: No stress, less Work, Hibrid job and flexible time.

Disadvantages: Location, language, Food( May be).

Please suggest what should I do? 

Should I accept new offer and change job?

CTC - 8 LPA

I have been working in the same company for the last 5 years. My salary went from 3.6 LPA to 8 LPA over the years. I recently put papers, and, started giving interviews. I got an offer from TCS for 15 LPA(12.8 fixed). For more than a month, I've been giving interviews, asking for 18 LPA and many HRs are rejecting straight away, citing it is more than 100% hike from my current CTC. I kept trying and now I am selected for 5 companies - Iris Software, Capgemini, Quantzig Analytics, PwC, HCL, Infinite. Salary discussions are about to start and I'm confused. I'm not good at this. Can anyone suggest?

I started my career in e-commerce with a product listing and stock management, earning ₹6K per month. After a year, I transitioned into organic social media marketing, managing daily content for brands for over two years (₹20K per month).

Then came my leap into paid media, where I spent 3+ years honing my skills. I worked my way up from:
🔹 Executive – ₹28K/month (Joined)
🔹 Assistant Manager – ₹43K/month
🔹 Manager – ₹53K/month (Left)

Recently, I took on a new challenge as a Senior Executive in a different organization, now earning ₹65K/month.

Looking back at my 5-6 years of experience, I see a journey of continuous learning and growth. But as I move forward, I wonder if I am on the right path am I earning the right money?

I am java backend dev and my current tech stack is Java, spring boot, microservices, restful APIs, mysql, dsa(400+ problems in leetcode) Have knowledge in kafka as well but no hands on experience.

My current CTC is 7Lpa

No frontend or cloud experience. I got the above offer(hyd location,hybrid model). I have already resigned in my company, attended few interviews but failed in all. Should I prepare more rigorously? Or be satisfied it's a good package for my current exp?

# Paying Only Half the Bill?  Another theory? They underreported costs. Maybe their small firm only covered a fraction while their parent company (with 50K+ GPUs!) handled the real expenses.

Ironically, Big Tech trained AI using our data without consent. Now DeepSeek might’ve done the same just using their data instead. A case of “you reap what you sow”? 🤔
