Western Range Biopharmaceuticals (WR Bio) is focussed on developing a portfolio of technologies for cancer. It is currently working on the patent pending cellular immunotherapy for cancer and has developed 4 different modalities namely activated dendritic cells, expanded NK cells, expanded gamma-delta T cells and primed T cells. Its technology uses monocytes that are isolated from the patients' blood which are then differentiated into immature dendritic cells using appropriate cytokines and growth factors followed by exposing them to cancer antigens in the presence of activation signals and making them immunostimulatory. The cells are then injected back into the same patient. The other modalities also work on the same principle. Its other technologies include Personalized Chemo-Sensitivity to identify the best possible drug combination for cancer patients; GvHD Reduction for the cancer patients who need to undergo bone morrow transplantation  and the blood-based screening of Indian men and women for HPV infection.
