Security Industry Association (SIA) acts as a watchdog and liaison between the security industry and the government. The membership association promotes international trade, expansion and growth, and industry trend reporting for members that operate within the information technology and physical security markets. SIA also acts as a collective voice for its members wishing to participate in the development of new governmental regulations and standards. More than 300 companies are members of SAI, which was formed in 1969.
