Brookfield India REIT Raises Rs 3,500 cr in Funding
- Brookfield India Real Estate Trust has raised Rs 3,500 crore (around $415 million) through a qualified institutional placement (QIP) of units to reduce debt.
- The funding round received strong interest from long-term investors, including institutions, mutual funds, and life insurance companies.
- The funds raised will primarily be used to reduce leverage, acquire high-quality assets, and execute the long-term strategic vision.
- This is the second institutional placement by Brookfield India Real Estate Trust since its IPO in 2021.

REITs Distribute Rs 2,754 Crore To Investors In April-September, Marking 14% Annual Growth
- Distribution of income to unitholders in four listed Real Estate Investment Trusts rose 14% annually to Rs 2,754 crore in the first six months of this fiscal.
- The four REITs are Brookfield India Real Estate Trust, Embassy Office Parks REIT, Mindspace Business Parks REIT, and Nexus Select Trust.
- The REITs distributed over Rs 1,383 crore in the second quarter and over Rs 1,371 crore in the first quarter of this fiscal to their unitholders.
- The Indian REIT market manages assets worth over Rs 1,52,000 crore.
