The Business Development Manager (BDM) role at Zia Infotech is a strategic and results-oriented position responsible for leading the entire business development lifecycle, from generating leads to closing deals and managing client relationships. You ll oversee a team of Business Development Executives (BDEs), guiding them in prospecting, qualifying leads, and securing new business opportunities.
Job Description:
Develop and implement B2B sales strategies aligned with overall company goals to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new sales opportunities and develop winning sales strategies.
Set clear and measurable goals for your BDE team, ensuring they have the resources and support to succeed.
Collaborate with marketing teams to generate qualified leads for your BDEs.
Oversee the lead qualification process, ensuring leads are nurtured and progressed through the sales funnel effectively.
Analyze sales pipeline data to identify potential roadblocks and optimise the sales process.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at existing and potential client accounts.
Manage the sales cycle for assigned accounts, from initial contact to proposal stage, negotiation, and deal closure.
Develop a deep understanding of client needs and challenges to propose customised solutions that deliver value.
Recruit, train, and mentor BDEs, fostering a high-performing and motivated sales team.
Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to BDEs, helping them develop their sales skills and knowledge.
Monitor individual and team performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing training initiatives.
Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue from existing client accounts through upselling,cross-selling, and service renewals.
Negotiate contracts and pricing terms to ensure profitability while exceeding client expectations.
Track and report on key client metrics, including account health, customer satisfaction, and lifetime value (CLTV).
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (required).
5+ years of experience in B2B sales management with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
In-depth understanding of B2B sales methodologies and the ability to develop and implement sales strategies.
Excellent negotiation and presentation skills, with a proven ability to close deals.
Proficiency in CRM software and sales tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
