Job Description

The Presales Consultant will be a strategic technical advisor and product expert, supporting the sales and product teams to deliver customized banking technology solutions to potential clients. This role involves demonstrating in-depth knowledge of banking products, understanding client-specific needs, and creating value-driven solutions that align with industry trends.
 
Key Responsibilities

1. Client Engagement & Solution Design:

  • a. Collaborate with potential banking clients to understand their business requirements and technology challenges.
  • b. Develop and propose customized banking technology solutions that align with the client s business needs, regulatory requirements, and digital transformation goals.
  • c. Conduct detailed product demonstrations, workshops, and technical deep dives to highlight the value and capabilities of the solutions.

2. Product Expertise & Technical Consultation:

  • a. Serve as a subject matter expert on the company s banking technology suite, including digital banking platforms, core banking systems, payments, lending, and compliance modules.
  • b. Advise clients on technical and business aspects, ensuring the proposed solution meets both functional and compliance needs in the banking sector.

3. RFP/RFI & Proposal Management:

  • a. Lead the response to RFPs, RFIs, and other client proposals, ensuring high-quality, technically accurate, and competitive responses.
  • b. Translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling proposal content that addresses client pain points and regulatory compliance aspects.
  • c. Conduct competitive analysis and help the sales team position the company s products uniquely.

4. Industry Knowledge:

  • a. Stay updated with banking regulations, industry standards, and emerging trends in banking technology (eg, API integrations, UPI, digital payments).

5. Sales Enablement & Collaboration:

  • a. Work closely with sales, product management, and engineering teams to ensure alignment on client requirements and solution features.
  • b. Provide feedback on client needs to the product team, helping shape the product roadmap and improvements

6. Stakeholder Relationship Building:

  • a. Build and maintain relationships with key client stakeholders, providing a trusted advisor role throughout the presales process.
  • b. Ensure clients understand the technical and functional benefits of the proposed solutions to drive decision-making.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master s degree or equivalent experience in banking technology is a plus.

Experience:

5+ years of experience in presales, solutions engineering, or consulting in banking technology or fintech environments.

Strong background in digital banking, payments, core banking systems, and/or regulatory technology solutions.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency with banking solutions, API integration, cloud technologies, and fintech innovations.

Familiarity with banking regulatory standards, data security, and compliance requirements.

Soft Skills:

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate technical information into business language.

Ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
