About the Job

We are looking for a Power BI Lead Developer with 8+ years of experience in designing and developing business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI, and 5+ years working with SQL/Database systems.

What You'll Do / Key Responsibilities

• Report Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive and visually compelling Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Data Modeling & DAX: Develop robust data models in Power BI and write optimized DAX queries for business logic implementation.
• Database and SQL: Make changes to source SQL tables and design data model
• Performance Optimization: Optimize Power BI performance by fine-tuning queries, managing large datasets, and using best practices in data modeling.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business users, analysts, and data engineers to understand reporting needs and translate them into Power BI solutions.
• Security & Access Control: Implement row-level security (RLS) and other access control mechanisms to ensure data privacy and governance.
• Automation & Deployment: Manage Power BI Service (Cloud), workspaces, gateways, and scheduled refreshes, and integrate with Power Automate for automation.

Who You Are / Preferred Skills and Experience

• 8+ years of experience in Power BI development with a strong understanding of BI concepts.
• Expertise in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query (M language).
• Strong hands-on experience in data modeling, star schema, and dimensional modeling.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and performance tuning.
• Experience in handling large datasets and optimizing Power BI performance.
• Strong understanding of data security, governance, and compliance in Power BI.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with business stakeholders and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate or equivalent certification.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Azure Data Services (Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory) is a plus.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and version control tools like Git is a plus.
• Knowledge of AI/ML-powered analytics in Power BI.
• Experience in integrating Power BI with Python/R for advanced analytics.
