Lead Power BI Expert (7-10 yrs)

Experience : 7 to 10 years

Job Purpose :

As a Power BI Expert, your main responsibilities will include understanding end user needs, translating them into analytical models, creating interactive dashboards, reports, and apps with Power BI, testing deliverables, deploying solutions, and ensuring knowledge transfer to end users.

Key Responsibilities :

- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and meet their data analysis needs.

- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.

- Use Power Query for data transformation and manipulation.

- Write advanced DAX formulas for complex business calculations.

- Implement dimensional modeling (star schema) for efficient data organization.

- Manage semantic models' data refreshes.

- Implement Power BI Row Level Security (RLS) to provide data access based on user roles.

- Create and manage dataflows to automate data updates.

- Write SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.

- Organize backlog in the Jira ticketing tool.

- Write comprehensive documentation.

Deliverables :

- Dimensional modeling (star schema).

- Power BI dataflows.

- Power BI datasets/semantic models.

- Power BI reports.

- Power BI dashboards.

- Power BI apps.

Education & Experience :

- Bachelor of Engineering.

- 7+ years of relevant experience.

Certifications : Mandatory : PL-300: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst.

Preferred :

- DP-500: Designing and Implementing Enterprise-Scale Analytics Solutions Using Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Power BI.

- Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals AZ-900.

Skills and Competencies :

Soft Skills :

- Excellent problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

- Proven international experience in a multi-cultural environment.

Technical Skills :

Mandatory :

- Proficiency with Power Query, DAX, SQL, dimensional modeling (star schema), and Power BI report development.

- Proficiency in Power BI dataset/semantic model development.

Preferred :

- Knowledge of Power BI Row Level Security, dataflows, portal administration, Microsoft Azure, Jira Service Management, Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Fabric, and Agile/SCRUM methodologies.

Working Conditions : 5 days a week.

Office timings : 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM.
