Power Bi Developer

Overall Purpose of the Job:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Power BI Developer with 3-4 years of experience in developing and managing BI solutions. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Power BI and a basic understanding of Power Apps and Power Automate or demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow in these areas.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy Power BI dashboards and reports that meet business requirements.
• Analyze data sources, establish data connections, and ensure data integrity in Power BI.
• Create data models and establish data connections from various sources, including SQL databases, cloud platforms, and operational systems
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and business teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver impactful visualizations.
• Optimize the performance of Power BI reports to ensure they handle large datasets efficiently.
• Leverage Power Apps and Power Automate to integrate and automate business workflows (or willingness to learn these tools quickly).
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to BI tools and processes.
• Stay updated with new features and advancements in Microsoft Power Platform.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 3-4 years of experience in Power BI development, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
• Strong experience in connecting Power BI to various data sources, including SQL Server, Azure, Excel, and SharePoint.
• Familiarity with large datasets and ability to handle complex data structures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Basic knowledge or interest in Power Apps and Power Automate for workflow automation and app development.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Familiarity with other tools in the Microsoft Power Platform.
• Experience in connecting Power BI to various data sources such as SharePoint, Excel, SQL Server, or cloud platforms like Azure.
• Knowledge of Agile or similar project management methodologies.
