Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- What we want the Chief of Staff (CoS) to deliver. Some might not be direct deliverables, but CoS needs to track/program manage their implementation. Above all, this role exists to give meaningful leverage to founders.
- Stay on top of daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly business metrics as per AoP i.e., sales pipeline/mouth of funnel, conversions of each channel, number of loans city-wise, disbursals/ticket size trend, AUM growth, fresh vs BT volumes, booking RoI, fee income, closures, rebooks, renewals, yield, referral, retention, opex, city profitability, revenue, sales productivity, CAC/LTV, concentration risks w.r.t sourcing & field sales.
- Know correlation between metrics & key lead-lag indicators. Flag EWS (early warning signals w.r.t. closures, AUM depletion, competitive intensity, pricing power, concentration risks etc.)
- Track & improve conversion funnels i.e., sales to meeting to scheduling. Track cancellations/follow-ups/rescheduling. Track TAT/SLAs in funnel i.e. sales to scheduling to visit to credit approval to disbursal. Analyse & fix city-wise channel-wise trends. Work on reducing time to visit. Come up ways (people/process/product) to improve field sales & central ops productivity. Track time/task & automate using models/algos.
- Create & execute a plan to drive city-wise & overall profitability by max FY26. Suggest product pricing, plans basis what sells in a city. Estimate price elasticity.
- Create heterogeneity & predictability in sourcing by diversifying sourcing channels (offline/online).
- Look at monthly P&L & implement ways to optimise costs.
- Manage lender relationships & escalations.
- Strike new lender, distribution & cross-sell partnerships.
- Stay on top of competitive intensity in cities & industry w.r.t. schemes & market activities. Stay on top of regulatory developments & pre-empt business changes/impact.
- Lead NBFC application process.
- Program manage key initiatives & tasks from founders.
- Create hiring, growth & exit toolkits/frameworks for each role.
- From tier 1 B-school and/or engineering college.
- Total experience between 4 - 8 years.
- 4-5 years of management consulting experience is preferable (not mandatory).
- Prior experience at a B2C startup in business, sales, CEO/founders office - with direct exposure & involvement in growth, improving financial health & profitability will be helpful.
- Data driven with excellent number & analytical skills (working knowledge of SQL & excel).
- Self-driven, high ownership mindset & strong bias for action.
- Comfortable with CXO interactions & also on the field.
- Strong attention to detail & an inherently curious mindset.
- Can recommend a course of action based on partial/imperfect data i.e., solution mindset.
- Multitasking is a must.
