Solution Architect - Database Management System (10-12 yrs)

Responsibilities :

- Solution Architecture : Design and deliver scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions across cloud and on-premise environments, with a focus on AWS EC2, RDS, Lambda, and other key AWS services.

- Database Migration : Lead and execute database migration projects, transitioning legacy systems like Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL to open-source or cloud-based platforms such as AWS EC2 and RDS.

- Performance Tuning : Utilize advanced knowledge in Oracle/PLSQL, AWS Redshift, and database tuning techniques to improve application and database performance.

- Client Relationship Management (CRM) : Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their technical and business requirements, and offering tailored solutions.

- Process Improvement : Implement continuous process improvements using tools like Agile/Scrum, Jira, and AWS Glue for serverless ETL and automation.

- Stakeholder Management : Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, QA, business stakeholders, and product managers to ensure alignment of project goals, timelines, and deliverables.

- Reporting & Analytics : Design and build enterprise-level dashboards using tools like Power BI and OBIEE for business users, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.

- CICD Implementation : Design and implement CICD pipelines to automate software deployment and streamline delivery processes.

- Mentorship & Leadership : Guide junior developers, troubleshoot issues, and oversee defect management to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Key Competencies :

- Expertise in AWS cloud services (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, EMR, CloudWatch, Redshift)

- Strong background in database migration and performance tuning (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, SQL Server)

- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell Script and Python for automation

- Advanced knowledge in Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (Jira)

- Experience with ETL tools and data analytics technologies (Hadoop, Pig, Hive, PySpark, AWS Glue)

- Ability to handle client relationships, stakeholder management, and requirements gathering

- Experience with CI/CD implementation and automation

- Expertise in building business intelligence solutions with tools like OBIEE, Power BI, and Redshift.

Qualifications :

- 10+ years of experience in Solution Architecture and database management

- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud platforms, including RDS, EC2, Lambda, and Glue

- Deep knowledge in Oracle, PLSQL, ODI, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and AWS Redshift

- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

- Proven track record of end-to-end project delivery, from concept to production

Desired Skills :

- Knowledge of Big Data Analytics (Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive)

- Experience with Power BI, OBIEE, or other enterprise reporting tools

- Familiarity with Serverless architectures and ETL solutions

- Ability to lead, mentor, and provide strategic direction to junior and mid-level engineers

- Experience in managing complex projects using Agile/Scrum methodologies
