Incedo - Starrocks Lead - Database Management System (7-12 yrs)

Role : Starrocks Lead

Exp Range : 7-12 Years

Location : Hyderabad and Chennai

Job Description :

- From technical breadth & depth standpoint, this person

- Must be familiar with STARROCKS DBMS or something similar

- Must be proficient in OLAP from analytics standpoint - Big Data & BI will be an added advantage

- Must be familiar with Cloud SaaS platforms and distributed systems

- Must have knowledge of LINUX / UNIX, KUBERNETES, etc.

- Must have participated in data-driven decision making

- Responsibilities include but not limited to managing configurations for both FE & BE, scaling in & out the nodes, performing recovery, monitoring, backing & restoring, migrating data between clusters, managing users & privileges, etc.

From performance tuning standpoint, this perso :

- Must be familiar with VMs

- Must know the clustering process

- Must be able to add VLAN traffic between VMs for minimum transport congestion between nodes

- Must be able to match right CPU Type / RAM Memory Type / HDD Type across these VMs Configuration

- Must be familiar with table types

- Must be able to recommend the right table type There are 4 types supported today

- Must be able to collocate the tables and use bucketing columns as needed to speed up the queries

- Must be able to do the data modelling using diverse schemas

- Must be able to do the partition at levels supported by STARROCKS

- Must be able to choose the right type of indexing (BLOOMFILTER is one type that we come across in VDM today There are 3)

- Must be able to create the Materialized View

- Must be able to change schemas There are 3 ways supported today
