Engineer - Land Development & Municipal Engineering

Role Summary

WSP is currently seeking for an Engineer to join our Land Development Team (LD & ME) located at our Bengaluru office. This role typically involves design for a variety of greenfield and infill projects for residential,commercial, retail, and institutional sites. Some examples of these include residential subdivisions, site plans for commercial/industrial developments, utility plans, grading plans, earthwork / grading cut and fill and mixed-use condominium blocks. The projects will almost exclusively be in AutoCAD Civil 3D and will require substantial coordination with Project Managers located in our Canadian Offices.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to engineering design in a team environment on small to large-scale project teams
• Utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D knowledge in projects from concept to completion
• Participate in the development of concept, preliminary and detailed engineering drawing
• Production of plans, including general and drainage plan drawings, plan/profile drawings
• Production of Utility section drawings and detail drawings
• Complete design activities to specified standards including earthworks modelling and design
• Design of sanitary and storm sewer design, watermain design, grading of roads and drive isles
• Design of lot, plot grading and stormwater management design of ponds
• Support in  cost-engineering design review, quantity take-offs
• Preparation of Form of Tenders for contracts

Key Competencies / Skills

• Under Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program
• 3 to 8 years of experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D drafting and design
• Experience in Grading of Plot, Lot and Commercial Sites
• Experience in Pre / Post Storm Water Assessment based on Grading  
• Experience in Design / Modelling of Wet Utility networks
• Having Knowledge on Utility Clash Analysis using Navisworks
• Modelling of Pipe Utility Networks is an asset
• Excellent Microsoft Word and Excel, abilities to perform hydraulic designs
• Highly motivated, hardworking, interpersonal, and enthusiastic team player
• Willing to learn and adopt to change.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Under Graduate in Civil Engineering
• Minimum of 3 to 8 years relevant work experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Grading
• Minimum of 3 to 8 years relevant work experience in Plot, Lot & Commercial Grading
• Ability to work up drawings (plans, sections & details)
• Ability to work well as part of a team or on an individual basis
• Strong attention to detail and well versed communication skill
