Engineer - Highways

Role Summary

WSP wishes to recruit a dynamic, self-motivated Highway Engineer to join the ‘UK CRC Development’ team in Noida/Bengaluru which provides detailed infrastructure designs for both public and private sector Clients in UK.

The ability to plan and design deliverables against UK Engineering standards for each stage of a project is a pre-requisite and training and guidance will be provided where necessary

Responsibilities

Production of detailed highway designs and construction drawings for various UK projects including residential, industrial, commercial, transport, water, retail, health and education projects.                

Mandatory Skills

• Good command of written and verbal English.
• Good experience in highway infrastructure design including horizontal and vertical design (highways, junctions and roundbaouts), highway detailing, traffic signs, road markings, kerbs, pavements and vehicle tracking.
• Conversant with design software like Autocad and Civil 3d
• Domestic / International project experience essential in perticular in the application of design standards / codes and delivering designs & drawtings
• Problem solving and originality.
• Cultural awareness, conscientious and an open mind are essential requirements for the role.
• High degree of self-motivation.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• A proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel is expected.

Desired Skills

• UK experience advantageous in particular in the application of DMRB/MfS/Local Highway Authority Design Guides.
• Flexibility to work on non-highway / highways design. Knowledge of UK drainage design
