We are looking for a Payroll Head ( Senior Manager) for a Hindi-language daily newspaper based at Bhopal.

Exp: 10+ years of experience in payroll management, preferably in a large organization.

Working Conditions: Regular ( Odd Saturdays of Month are off - 1,3 &5 )

Job Brief:

- We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee the payroll function in a dynamic environment for a workforce of over 7,000 employees.

- The ideal candidate will ensure timely and accurate salary disbursement, maintain compliance with tax regulations, and manage the outsourced payroll process effectively.

- This role will involve managing a team of 2 and collaborating with the payroll vendor and contractual manpower vendor to ensure efficient operations. The role encompasses handling payroll for both permanent (70%) and contractual (30%) employees.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Operations:

Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:

- Ensure payroll operations are fully compliant with the state and central labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements, including PF, ESI, PT, LWF and TDS by publishing monthly compliance dashboards.

Payroll Reporting:

- Generate periodic payroll reports (e.g., variance reports, tax liabilities, salary breakdowns, headcount reports) for internal review and analysis.
