HR Generalist & Payroll Manager
This position is responsible for performing HR and Payroll related and works closely with senior management and carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: payroll and benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyzes, prepares and inputs payroll data & utilizes automated system to produce accurate and timely payroll. Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
Prepares Monthly payroll:
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Collaborates with managers to assess employment needs, and participates in recruiting efforts to identify, interview, hire and train qualified candidates; monitors
- Oversees auditing processes in multiple departments to ensure policies and procedures are being followed and to provide clarification on subjects that may be misunderstood.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Conducts and/or coordinates various employee training programs related to onboarding, professional development, or site-specific requested training.
- Monitors the performance evaluation program and recommends revisions as necessary.
- Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains the employee handbook and the policies and procedures manual.
- Prepares and sets up meetings designed to help employees obtain information and understand company benefits. Ensures distribution of required employee notices.
- Verifies calculation of monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies and maintain statistical data relative to premiums. Resolves administrative problems with the carrier representatives.
- Reviews and responds to unemployment claims with appropriate documentation.
- Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; and maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
- Compiles data and prepares yearly submission of OSHA and worker's compensation reports for insurance purposes.
- Handles employee relations issues, appropriately referring them to senior management.
- Conducts stay-interviews in partnership with managers and exit interviewing. Maintains trend data reports to develop proactive strategies for employee retention.
- Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
Qualification And Experience:
1. MBA in Human Resources with 7-10 Years of Experience in a Manufacturing set-up & should be well versed with the Payroll Aspects across all Continents & Should be Expert in Excel.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
3. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
4. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
7. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
