SDN (Software-Defined Networking) Architect

As an SDN Architect, you will be responsible for:

1. Design & Architecture

   • Develop the overall SDN architecture and framework to meet business and technical requirements.
   • Design scalable, secure, and resilient network infrastructures utilizing SDN technologies.
   • Define network policies, automation workflows, and integration points for SDN controllers and orchestration platforms.

2. Implementation & Deployment

   • Lead the deployment and configuration of SDN controllers, switches, and related components.
   • Integrate SDN solutions with cloud platforms (e. g. , AWS, Azure, GCP) and virtualization technologies like VMware NSX or OpenStack.

3. Network Automation

   • Develop and implement network automation scripts and tools using languages such as Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
   • Automate network provisioning, configuration, and management to enhance operational efficiency.

4. Collaboration & Leadership

   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, network engineers, and cloud architects, to deliver integrated solutions.
   • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior engineers and other stakeholders.

5. Performance Monitoring & Optimization

   • Monitor the performance of SDN implementations and optimize network performance, scalability, and reliability.
   • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues related to SDN deployments.

6. Security & Compliance

   • Ensure network security is embedded within the SDN architecture, adhering to best practices and regulatory standards.
   • Implement security policies such as network segmentation and access control using SDN technologies.
