Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sellfy Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Sellfy Developer, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and enhancing eCommerce websites and stores on the Sellfy platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in web development, eCommerce platforms, and API integrations, combined with a deep understanding of the Sellfy ecosystem. This role offers the opportunity to work with a variety of clients and provide innovative, user-friendly solutions that drive online sales.
Your Role and Responsibilities Develop and maintain Sellfy stores : Design and implement custom templates, features, and enhancements for Sellfy-based eCommerce websites. Integration : Collaborate with third-party APIs and services to extend the functionality of Sellfy stores, including payment gateways, inventory management, and marketing tools. Customization : Modify Sellfy s themes and layout to meet client specifications and improve the user experience, ensuring responsive and mobile-friendly designs. Troubleshoot and debug : Identify and resolve issues related to the website, user interface, and eCommerce transactions, ensuring smooth functionality. Collaboration with stakeholders : Work closely with product managers, designers, and marketing teams to ensure alignment between business goals and technical implementation. Optimize for performance and SEO : Ensure the websites are optimized for speed, performance, and search engine visibility to drive organic traffic and improve conversion rates. Testing and Quality Assurance : Perform thorough testing on all developed features and integrations to ensure quality and functionality across multiple browsers and devices. Documentation : Create and maintain clear technical documentation for the developed features, integrations, and customization made to the Sellfy stores.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise Strong programming skills : Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid (Sellfys templating language). Web development experience : Experience building and customizing eCommerce websites, preferably on Sellfy or similar platforms (Shopify, BigCommerce, etc.). API integration : Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, webhooks, and third-party service integration. Version control : Proficient with Git for version control and collaboration. Responsive design principles : Expertise in creating mobile-first, responsive designs that deliver an optimal user experience. SEO best practices : Knowledge of SEO fundamentals to enhance the visibility of eCommerce stores. Problem-solving skills : Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues efficiently. Communication skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members. Attention to detail : A keen eye for design, functionality, and overall user experience.
Qualification & Experience Required Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. 3+ years of experience in web development, with a focus on eCommerce platforms like Sellfy, Shopify, or WooCommerce. Experience with Sellfy s API and custom theme development is highly preferred. Proven track record of delivering high-quality, user-friendly eCommerce websites that meet business needs. Familiarity with web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, etc.) to monitor website performance and user behavior. Experience with Agile or similar development methodologies is a plus.
