Job Summary

The Global Network Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily management, performance, and growth of our global network infrastructure. This role entails ensuring the seamless operation of network systems, troubleshooting issues, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and driving network performance improvements globally. The individual will lead a team of network engineers, collaborating with other departments to maintain high availability, security, and performance standards. Your Role and Responsibilities

Network Management: Oversee the monitoring and maintenance of the global network, ensuring uptime, performance, and security.

Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a global team of network engineers, ensuring alignment with company goals and effective performance.

Troubleshooting & Incident Management: Resolve high-priority network issues, including outages, performance degradation, and security breaches, and ensure swift resolution in a time-sensitive manner.

Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party service providers and vendors, ensuring SLAs are met and contracts are adhered to.

Network Performance & Optimization: Implement strategies to continuously improve network speed, reliability, and scalability, including the analysis of network traffic and usage patterns.

Project Management: Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of network infrastructure projects across multiple geographies.

Security Compliance: Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to ensure the network is compliant with industry security standards and practices.

Cost Management: Oversee the budget for network operations, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while meeting performance requirements.

Reporting & Documentation: Provide regular reports on network performance, incidents, and upgrades to senior management and stakeholders.

Strategy Development: Contribute to the strategic direction of the global network, including long-term planning and scaling of infrastructure to support business growth.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Networking Expertise: In-depth understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, and WAN/LAN technologies (MPLS, BGP, OSPF, etc. ).
Network Design & Architecture: Experience in designing and implementing scalable, high-performance global networks, including SD-WAN and cloud networking solutions.
Tools & Technologies: Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools (e. g. , SolarWinds, Nagios, Wireshark), as well as firewall, VPN, and intrusion detection systems.
Security Awareness: Knowledge of network security concepts, including firewalls, VPNs, DDoS protection, and data encryption.
Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and how they integrate with networking strategies.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, with experience in managing network operations across multiple regions and time zones.
Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot complex network issues and provide timely solutions.

Qualification & Experience Required

Education:

Bachelor's or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in network operations, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
Proven experience managing a global network infrastructure across multiple regions.
Hands-on experience with network optimization, troubleshooting, and vendor management.
