Job Summary

The Endpoint Security Specialist is responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of endpoint devices across the organization's IT infrastructure. This role involves implementing and managing endpoint protection solutions, monitoring for vulnerabilities, and responding to security incidents. The specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop and enforce endpoint security policies, providing a secure environment that supports business operations.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Deploy, configure, and maintain endpoint security tools such as antivirus, EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response), and DLP (Data Loss Prevention) solutions.

Monitor endpoint devices for security threats, vulnerabilities, and compliance with security policies.

Investigate and respond to security incidents involving endpoint devices, ensuring timely resolution.

Develop and enforce endpoint security policies, standards, and best practices.

Conduct regular endpoint security audits and vulnerability assessments.

Collaborate with IT and security teams to implement patches, updates, and security configurations.

Generate reports and metrics on endpoint security status and provide recommendations for improvement.

Stay updated on emerging endpoint security threats, trends, and technologies to ensure proactive protection measures.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Endpoint Security Tools: Hands-on experience with tools such as Symantec, McAfee, CrowdStrike, or Microsoft Defender.

Incident Response: Ability to investigate, analyze, and resolve endpoint security incidents effectively.

Vulnerability Management: Knowledge of vulnerability scanning and remediation processes for endpoint devices.

OS Expertise: Familiarity with securing Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.

Networking Knowledge: Understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and how endpoints interact within an IT ecosystem.

Policy Development: Experience in drafting and implementing security policies and procedures.

Analytical Skills: Strong ability to assess risks, identify potential threats, and prioritize security measures.

Soft Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Qualification & Experience Required

Educational Background:

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Master s degree or equivalent is a plus.

Certifications:

Relevant certifications such as CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), CompTIA Security+, or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) are highly desirable.

Experience:

Minimum 2-5 years of experience in endpoint security or a related cybersecurity role.
Proven track record of implementing and managing endpoint protection solutions.
