Purpose of the Job:
Establish robust system & processes to receive right parts, assemble & test as per group norms, in order to ensure reliable products are delivered to the Customers.
Capture, analyze& drive resolution of technical issues at plant in time bound manner.
Monitor & own scrap cost and cost of parts in blocked stock.
Ensure smooth execution of changes (ECN, supplier, assembly, inspectors, .)
Interface with OEMs & cross functional teams to resolve technical issues
Develop customer centric culture in the organization.
Demonstrate, guide and develop the team on problem definition, root cause analysis, structured problem solving & reliability improvement programs.
Scope of Work & Accountabilities:
Implement contemporary quality management principles and processes in order to make sure the quality of outgoing equipment is benchmark for the competition in the industry.
Systematically analyse the technical issues in the plant and implement robust interim & permanent solutions to prevent recurrence. Monitor effectiveness of resolved issues.
Continuosly connect with internal & external customers and action on feedback.
Work with other stakeholders such as manufacturing personnel to establish and improve best in class assembly processes. Through the implementation of contemporary in-process quality and problem solving techniques, make sure that the quality of outgoing products is of highest standards.
Lead the product launch program from quality perspective and work closely with SQ and engineering function to conduct Fit& function trials, problems monitoring, MAP deployment, first sample verification and other related processes for the sustainable launch of product.
Proactive & reactive audits of key processes in the plant, including HSPTP
Ensure all SAP processes are followed.
Ensure receipt inspection activities like, timely clearance of Incoming Inspection lots, calibration of equipment, instruments & gauges
Review blocked parts periodically & ensure timely disposition of quarantined parts.
Ensure use of updated MAP, check-sheets as appropriate
Ensure smooth functioning of line using containment, 8D & escalations if required.
Ensure timely machine audit & sign off as per production & dispatch plan.
Deploy actions to meet the budget for Capex, Overheads, Manpower & Scrap costs.
Ensure seamless change management.
Drive closure of line and PDI issues along with CFT in time-bound manner.
Drive Monthly Operational Quality Review.
Build and mentor a high performance team, encourage innovation and strict quality control. Motivate them to constantly optimize the production process.
Training & Development: Build the Customer & Quality conscious culture across the organization and support Team to acquire key competencies of Quality management & behavioral development.
Develop & monitor key quality measures through MIS.
Skills / Competencies required:
Knowledge of Manufacturing processes , CTQ parameters and meth-ods to control.
Planning, organizing & prioritization of tasks. Follow-up & follow-through
Strong problem solving skills, Six Sigma or equivalent certification preferred
Ability to define, analyse and drive to resolve multifunctional technical problems.
Ability make decisions based on facts & risk assessment
