The Technical Consultant will be part of the Global Technical (Go-to-Market) organization spread across Americas, Europe, India, Australia, and Japan.
He/She will be a part of our India 'Web Security Team,' comprising experts who provide world-class product deployment services to customers.
The Technical Consultant will deep dive into the customer environment and their unique requirements, create a design plan, configure, and integrate solutions to enable the best usage of the zero-trust platform.
He/She will be at the forefront, working closely with sales, external partners, and various customer teams to provide consultancy and product deployment services.
The objective will be to ensure that customers successfully deploy zero-trust solutions within the agreed timeframe while minimizing any impact.
Responsibilities :
- Provide deployment services, including design, recommendations, configurations, best practices, and troubleshooting.
- Provide detailed guidance regarding deployment steps and expected product behavior.
- Develop expertise in deploying advanced web security product features and functionality, including Firewall, SSL inspection, Cloud Browser Isolation, Data Protection, DLP, and Network Security.
- Ensure client needs are met and deliverables are produced on time as defined in the service packages/statement of work.
- Migrate customers from legacy on-prem firewall technologies/security solutions to a zero-trust platform.
- Assist customers with testing or troubleshooting during deployment and engage with customer support as required.
- Work closely with sales, technical account managers, customer success managers, and product managers to drive deployment progress.
- Reproduce customer issues to verify problems and document steps for customer support, engineering, and operations teams.
Requirements :
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (English).
- 2-7 years of experience in similar positions (Technical Consultant, Network/Security Specialist, Support/Escalation Engineer).
- Experience in network and security solutions in a customer-facing role.
- Experience deploying, maintaining, or troubleshooting networking, firewall, and security solutions in enterprise environments.
- Ability to navigate technical and architectural discussions with customers and partners, including business and technical audiences.
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills across internal and external organizations.
- A proactive approach to ensuring successful project completion.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and work calmly under pressure.
- Working knowledge of authentication systems such as SAML, LDAP, and MS Active Directory.
- Good knowledge of HTTP, HTTPS, SSL Inspection, and DNS.
- Experience with Proxy and SSL.
- Strong knowledge of IPSEC, GRE, HTTP/HTTPS, and DNS protocols.
- Industry certifications such as CCNP, CISSP, or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience with network troubleshooting using tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, Traceroute, and MTR.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Knowledge of solutions built on Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and other leading cloud platforms.
- Good knowledge of Hypervisors: VMware, Hyper-V, and KVM
