Network Security Engineer - Web Application Firewall (5-8 yrs)

Job Title : WAF Network/Security Engineer.

Primary Skills :

- Candidate must have hands-on experience on the firewall, proxy, load balancer, and WAF solutions.

- Knowledge of Enterprise Security / advanced Networking (Routing, Switching, Load Balancer) + Cloud.

- At least 5 Years of hands-on experience on one of the firewall platforms (Fortinet, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, and Cloud Firewalls).

- Firewall Upgrades & Updates, Migrations, New Implementation, and maintenance.

- Knowledge and hands-on experience on Web Application Firewall (WAF), and Web app and API protection (WAAP) solutions - F5/Akamai/Cloudflare/Imperva.

- Experience with Global Financial Institutions network/security solution deployment and technical support.

- Familiarity with scripting languages, such as Python, Ansible, Terraform, or any cloud automation language.

- Familiarity with Linux operating systems and commands.

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, maintain, and decommission the Checkpoint and Fortinet Firewalls.

- Deploy, manage, and support the enterprise Web Application Firewall (WAF), and Web app and API protection (WAAP) deployments - Akamai/Cloudflare/Imperva/F5.

- Working knowledge of BGP /OSPF/multicast routing protocols.

- Good knowledge of analyzing network traffic on firewalls.

- Ability to develop a script to automate Firewall deployments.

- Ensure the configuration of rules is as per security standards.

- Able to understand global standards and apply them to regional requirements.

- Troubleshooting network and firewall connectivity issues.

- Implement and enforce security policies on Checkpoint and Fortinet Firewalls.

- Ability to administer firewalls and virtual private networks (VPNs).

- Participate in security audits and risk assessments.

- Develop and maintain documentation for firewall policies and procedures.

- Flexible to work in off hours/weekends.

- Collaboration and communication with colleagues in the US time zone.
