Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Payroll Head to lead our payroll operations, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing for a growing workforce. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in payroll management, team leadership, and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Payroll Management:
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processes for an employee base of 5000+ across locations.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of salaries, benefits, and statutory deductions (PF, ESI, TDS, etc.).
- Monitor and ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and organizational policies.
2. Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor the payroll team, fostering professional growth and high performance.
- Allocate tasks effectively and ensure seamless collaboration within the team.
3. Process Optimization:
- Continuously evaluate payroll processes to identify and implement improvements.
- Leverage technology to streamline payroll systems and reporting.
- Maintain and improve payroll data accuracy and security.
4. Statutory Compliance & Audits:
- Manage payroll audits and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors, resolving queries promptly.
5. Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure integrated payroll operations.
- Address payroll-related concerns and provide insights for policy-making.
6. Reporting & Documentation:
- Generate and present payroll analytics and reports to senior management.
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date payroll records.
Key Qualifications:
Experience:
- 8-12 years of experience in payroll management
- 2+ years of experience in leading payroll teams.
- Proven experience handling payroll for a workforce of minimum 1,000+ employees.
- Education: Bachelor's OR Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A professional certification in payroll is a plus (e.g., CPP, SPHR).
Skills:
- Proficiency in payroll software and tools (e.g., SAP, ADP, or other relevant platforms).
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory compliance.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
