Job Description :
- We are seeking a Payroll Lead to join our team and manage end-to-end payroll operations for the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical payroll expertise, be capable of leading a team, and have hands-on experience managing payroll for a large and diverse workforce.
- The Payroll Lead will be responsible for overseeing payroll processing, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and optimizing payroll-related functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Management: Oversee the preparation, processing, and distribution of accurate and timely payroll for all employees.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of payroll professionals, ensuring smooth payroll operations.
- Compliance: Ensure payroll processes comply with local, state, and federal labor laws, tax regulations, and other relevant laws.
- System Optimization: Identify and implement best practices to streamline payroll systems, improve efficiency, and reduce errors.
- Reporting: Generate reports on payroll metrics, including tax filings, deductions, bonuses, and other compensation-related elements.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other internal departments to resolve payroll issues and queries.
- Audits & Reconciliations: Manage periodic payroll audits, reconciliation of payroll records, and ensure data integrity.
- Employee Queries: Handle employee inquiries related to payroll issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Continuous Improvement: Keep up-to-date with industry trends, tax regulations, and technology solutions to continuously improve payroll processes.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience: 8-12 years of core payroll experience, with at least 2-3 years of experience in a team handling/leadership role.
- Payroll Expertise: Extensive knowledge of payroll processes, including tax laws, labor laws, and various payroll systems.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead a payroll team, with experience in training, coaching, and mentoring team members.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in payroll software/systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, SAP, etc.), and MS Excel.
- Communication: Strong communication skills to effectively interact with both internal teams and employees.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in resolving payroll discrepancies and issues.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in processing payroll and preparing reports.
Desired Qualifications:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, or a related field.
- Certification in Payroll Management (e.g., CPP, FPC) is an advantage.
- Familiarity with international payroll regulations (if applicable).
- Age Requirement: Less than 37 years.
