JOB DESCRIPTION FOR GENERAL MANAGER SALES

Job Purpose:

- The role is to lead and grow the existing Sales divisions of Modern Trade, and Q-commerce. She/He will have an expert-level understanding of marketplace, consumer, and category trends, as well as broader marketing and merchandising strategies to establish new customers. She/He will report to the Director of operations.

Job Responsibilities:

- Responsible for the day-to-day management of Sales team for the Modern Trade and Q-commerce.

- Provides general business and operational guidance while leading through influence. Drive Company goals, including KPIs and targets, and maximize Sales growth.

- Capture maximum market share in the respective categories/markets, Understand the marketplace, consumer, and

category trends, as well as broader marketing and merchandising strategies to establish new customers.

- Engage with Key Customers and build rapport thereby generating business opportunities, Also, take care of post-

sales support required by the Key accounts.

- Contribute & Implement sales growth strategy supporting regional strategy, Identification and implementation of

new profitable volume opportunities within the account(s) to increase the business growth.

- Provide time-to-time market intelligence to the company.

- Evaluate the performance of the sales team and provide appropriate feedback.

- Interview, hire, and train the sales team.

Experience, Education & Skills:

- Experience in the management & development of Sales across India in the FMCG sector is a must.

- MBA with at least 10-15 years of industry experience of which 5 - 8 years in handling big accounts with team

management experience.

- Strong business acumen, and relationship-building skills and must be highly influential.

- Strong strategic and decision-making skills.

- Must be willing to travel.
