Job Description Manager (Quality Assurance) / Management Representative

Job Purpose: The Manager QA / Management Representative will be part of the Quality Department. The position will report to the AGM NPD & Quality Assurance

Job Responsibilities:

Departmental:

1. To manage the day-to-day work of the department which include the following functions. Close monitoring of the Departmental activities. Manage the staff and workers in the Department.

2. Inspection of Raw Materials & Packing Material and to ensure that the materials properly stored to avoid deterioration during storage. (Advise the Stores Department about the condition of the materials periodically to avoid the damage during the storage.)

3. Bench marking the competitors products and inform top management and relevant officials the results thereof.

4. As required by the organisation continual improvement of the existing products, processes and procedures.

5. To ensure that all the required inspection and tests are carried out in accordance with the laid down test/analytical procedures and techniques & to ensure that, quality control personnel take necessary samples that they require using the correct sampling procedures. To ensure line testing of plant and machinery and quality control equipment is maintained in good condition.

6. To ensure that test methods are strictly adhered to, and test reports are forwarded to the Designated authority.

7. Ensuring identification and traceability of materials at different stages of processing.

8. Effluent Treatment Plant (Analytical).

9. Organise and manage food safety management system in the factory to ensure consistent quality of products meeting statutory, customer & other requirements.

10. He shall work food safety management; acts as Secretary of the Management Review Meetings, convene the meetings once a quarter and implement the decisions taken in the meeting.

11. Report the abnormalities observed to the Top Management so that timely corrective and preventive actions can be taken.

12. Work as Training Coordinator in consultation with the HR, Top Management and with line managers to suit their department training needs.

13. Organize periodic reviews to establish that the requirements of Food Safety Management system are consistent with market requirements.

14. Coordinate and work with other management functions to develop, maintain and improve the effectiveness of the Food Safety Management system.

15. To prepare, maintain and review periodically the environmental manual, procedures and related documents, quality manual, quality system procedure and HACCP procedures in consultation with the functional Managers and involve them while the revision or modification of the documents.

16. To prepare the audit plan and schedule and arrange for the audit and collect the audit reports and present the findings to the management review meeting for further action

17. Responsible for all the provisions of Standards of Weights & Measures Act, 1976 that includes the Packaged Commodities Rules 1977,

18. Responsible for the housekeeping and shall Conduct Hygiene Audits as required for MMPO & HACCP activities periodically and communicate the observations and monitor the action taken to correct the deficiencies.

Skills and Qualifications:

1) B.Tech / Diploma / M Sc / B Sc (Dairy Technology) or B.Tech / M Sc / B Sc (Food Technology) or related field required.

2) 10-12 years of Ice cream industry experience.

3) Experience in a 300 Cr company is a must.

4) Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

5) Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
