Job Description

Role & Context:


Purpose:


- Assume total responsibility for the leadership management and accountability of the information systems area.


- Ensure effective and efficient delivery of operational IT-services to the business.


- Develop and maintain strategic IT-infrastructure.


Context:


- Responsibility and associated authority for the effective deployment of IT within the company, ensuring that business strategies are Implemented and supported by delivery of a highly professional IT-service.


- The GM-IT is responsible for the Implementation of an ambitious IT-plan to delivery of the companys products and services.


- As such the GM-IT is responsible for developing an IT-unit within the new company focusing on maintaining a cost effective mix of internal & external capability of IT-service delivery.


Main Priorities:


3-9 months:


- Actively manage all aspects of the implementation of the new systems ensuring that priorities are maintained.


- Build and resource Internal IT-unit.


- Build & manage relationships to suppliers involved in the implementation process.


- Develop standards and operational procedures for effective deployment of IT-support to the distribution channels.


- Oversee and manage resources in accordance with budget.


9-12 months onwards:


- Develop plans for phased deployment of support and distribution technologies in accordance with business plans.


- Oversee delivery of plans.


Need To Do:

- Develop and maintain strategic IT-Infrastructure.


Relationships:


- All levels of management within Company.


- Suppliers of services and products.


- All levels of staff in Organization.

- As needed within budget and company parameters.


Key Performance Indicators:


- Implementation of systems reflecting the business plans.


- Timely delivery according to project plans.


- Compliance with agreed IT-service delivery levels.


- Cost effective and business efficient IT-services.


- Maintain high user and management satisfaction.


- Ensure strategic positioning of the company services and products.


Need To Know:


Qualifications:


- Relevant academic degree.


- BE / BTech + MBA preferred


- IT-professional background.


- FMCG / Retail / Ice-cream Industry


- High personal integrity and management capabilities in a dynamic environment.


Skills/Knowledge:


Experience:


- Minimum 15-20 years covering all IT areas in an operational business environment.


- Broad knowledge of all aspects of technology involved used in FMCG sector.


- IT management experience in most areas of IT-services.


- Experience in supporting business growth through use of IT.


- Extensive project management experience.


- Knowledge of the technology components on which Company Food IT-plans are based.


- ERP Microsoft Dynamics365


- Bizom for Sales Automation


- HRMS


- Experience with operational issues facing large FMCG / Retail companies desirable.


- Good understanding of Cloud computing
