Job Description: Presales Analyst
Location: Chennai
Experience: 5-8 Years (At least 1 year in Data Analytics)
Role Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic Presales Analyst to support our sales and business development teams in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence (BI), and Big Data solutions. The role requires a professional with strong presales experience, proposal management skills, and a solid understanding of data analytics solutions. The ideal candidate should be skilled in solutioning, proposal writing, RFP responses, and competitive market research, while also being proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, SharePoint) and ChatGPT tools for content creation.
This role is critical in bridging the gap between the sales, business, and technical teams to ensure that client proposals and solutions are effectively communicated and positioned.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Presales Support & Solutioning:
- Act as the first line of support for presales requirements, handling customer inquiries, PoCs, RFIs, and RFPs.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects to design tailored solutions aligned with client needs.
- Create pitch decks, sales collaterals, and industry-specific use cases to demonstrate how analytics can drive business impact.
- Conduct market research to analyze competitive positioning and benchmark solutions.
2. Proposal & RFP Management:
- Independently create and manage proposals, presentations, and client documentation.
- Handle end-to-end RFP responses, ensuring solutions are comprehensive and compelling.
- Develop standardized proposal templates to reduce turnaround time (TAT) for RFPs and client queries.
- Ensure high-quality proposals (99% accuracy) with structured content, following company branding guidelines.
- Conduct mock proposal runs for large-value deals (above $1 million) at least 3 days before submission.
- Upload and maintain all proposals and presales documents on SharePoint for knowledge management.
3. Client Engagement & Presentation Support:
- Work closely with Sales and Business Development teams to create impactful sales presentations and client pitches.
- Clearly articulate solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in customer meetings.
- Drive customer engagement activities, workshops, and discussions to position the company as a thought leader.
4. Content & Knowledge Management:
- Leverage ChatGPT and AI-based tools to craft engaging proposals, pitch decks, and marketing collateral.
- Maintain an organized knowledge repository for quick access to presales content and past proposals.
- Continuously refine and update proposal content to reflect the latest offerings, industry trends, and competitive insights.
5. Marketing & Thought Leadership Initiatives:
- Support marketing events such as webinars, thought leadership sessions, and business networking events.
- Assist in pre- and post-event marketing content creation, including email campaigns, social media posts, and event summaries.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Proposal Success Rate: Achieve or exceed win rates for proposals and presales engagements.
- Proposal Submission TAT: Reduce turnaround time for RFP submissions quarter over quarter.
- Proposal Quality: Ensure 99% accuracy in proposals before stakeholder review.
- Post-Proposal Analysis: Conduct post-submission review meetings at the end of every month to improve future proposals.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Complete proposal mock runs for high-value deals (above $1M) at least 3 days in advance.
Required Skills & Experience:
1. Core Competencies:
- 5-8 years of experience in presales, business analysis, or solution consulting in Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence (BI), Big Data, or Data Analytics.
- Expertise in presales support, RFP/RFI management, solution positioning, and proposal writing.
- Strong ability to articulate complex data analytics solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with industry verticals such as Banking & Finance, Insurance, Retail, and Manufacturing.
2. Technical & Documentation Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) with expertise in PowerPoint presentations.
- Experience using SharePoint for proposal and document management.
- Knowledge of ChatGPT and AI-based content automation tools for proposal enhancement.
- Exposure to Proposal Automation tools is a plus.
3. Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to multi-task and manage priorities in a fast-paced presales environment.
- High attention to detail with problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in Visual Communications, Business Management, or Data Analytics are preferred.
