Scada Operator

Job Responsibilities :

• System Monitoring & Operation: Monitor and oversee SCADA systems and related technologies in real-time, ensuring alarms, sensors, and remote monitoring equipment function efficiently. Respond promptly to any system irregularities or malfunctions to maintain the smooth operation of critical infrastructure.
• Incident Response & Troubleshooting: Respond to operational alarms, analyse data to identify issues, and troubleshoot problems following established procedures. Escalate critical issues when necessary and coordinate with maintenance or technical teams to resolve complex problems and minimize downtime.
• Data Logging & Reporting: Log operational data, events, and actions during incidents in compliance with company procedures. Generate regular and ad-hoc reports on system performance, incidents, and operational metrics for analysis and management review.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure actions comply with safety protocols and emergency response protocols, and report unsafe conditions, system malfunctions, or potential risks promptly to the relevant personnel.
• Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues promptly and coordinate with external agencies during emergencies or maintenance to minimize disruption.
• System Optimization: Contribute to enhancing SCADA systems through optimization and automation, and assist with system upgrades, patches, and new feature implementation.
• Shift Work & Availability: Work in rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays to ensure continuous monitoring of the SCADA system.
