Manager - Global Procurement (Coal and Scrap Imports) (Ispat VRKP)

Position Title: Manager- Global Procurement (International Sourcing (COAL AND SCRAP IMPORT)

Job Location: City Centre , Hebbal, Bangalore

Qualification and Experience: B.E/B.Tech (Mechanical) with 10+ Yrs experience in Global Sourcing Experience in Import of Coal and Scrap (International Iron and Steel Raw material Sourcing) Industrial Procurement for Green Field and Brown Field Projects in Steel industry.

Travel: 30% travel Pan India basis need

Job Summary:

Monitor the markets on International basis on all the raw materials that go in to our industry. Build Vendor profile and Directory

Get commercials from all the vendors. Negotiation. Should know how to apply for Banking facility, Maintain Quality, Transportation and Liaising, Department Licensing

Role & responsibilities:

• Procurement of Capital Goods(Technology Packages for Brownfield and Greenfield expansion projects)

• Procurement of MRO, Packaging Items, Bulk Items , Process Consumables, Project (CAPEX),Services (Contracts), ROL & RM for LDP with annual buy value Approx. greater than INR 500 Cr.

• Thorough Product Knowledge - Steel Market in India and global market Steel procurement as per company requirements

• Monitoring & maintain of price changes based on fluctuation in steel price
• Track daily price movements of commodities such as stainless steel, coils sheets ,casting, machined parts, sheet metal etc.

• Estimate the required steel quantity and plan for procurement

• Should be familiar with auto components requirements Steel coils, brake components, etc

• Suppliers evaluation, selection, and development for cost-effective purchase and quality improvements

• Supplier capacity mapping and development of supplier base to support plant production volumes

• Real-time monitoring of the status of the procurement orders, coordination, planning for inventory management with Logistic and Ware House team at factory

• Maintain technical understanding of Casting / Forging / Machining to negotiate effectively

• Maintain supplier relationship to ensure collaboration on future opportunities

• Oversee the sample development and pilot lot approval process, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards

• Visit, evaluate and Conduct regular supplier audits to assess compliance with quality, ethical, and environmental standards

• Adopts a personal commitment to excellence and actively supports and participates in the Total Quality Process.
