Senior Accounts Associate

Role & responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions in ledgers and accounting software.
• Ensure timely processing of vendor payments and customer collections.
• Perform monthly reconciliation of bank statements, cash transactions, and ledgers.
• Prepare periodic financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Calculate and file GST, TDS, and income tax returns accurately and on time.
• Oversee inventory valuation and ensure proper accounting of vehicle and spare parts stock.
• Ensure smooth financial transactions with vendors and suppliers, maintaining long-term relationships.
• Implement and monitor internal control systems to prevent fraud and errors.
• Use dealership management systems (DMS) and ERP tools to streamline financial processes.
• Guide junior accounting staff and ensure accuracy in their work.
• Work closely with sales, service, and operations teams for seamless financial integration.
• Monitor dealership cash flow to ensure liquidity and efficient fund utilization.
• Provide financial insights and analysis to aid senior management in strategic decision-making.

Desired profile of the candidate

Experienced Senior Accounting Executive with a strong background in accounting, GST, TDS, and inventory management. Proficient in Tally, ERP systems, and financial reporting, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and seamless financial operations.
