Lead Product Compliance & Product Safety

What you will be doing :

- Global Product Safety & Compliance staff have varying levels of responsibility for ensuring new and existing products meet regulatory and safety standards.

- You are responsible for determining applicable product safety and compliance requirements and the means of demonstrating compliance in each case.

- You will work in close liaison with government and third-party agencies to gain and maintain approvals.

- You will also communicate with colleagues of all levels, supply most current approval documentation, and educate personnel and customers about complex global product compliance topics.

- You will be working with both management and colleagues; coordinate information among departments and educate design teams about mandatory and voluntary product specifications

- You are expected to keep the company up to date on new or revised regulations that are or may be relevant to product specifications.

- You will identify and track development of key standards and codes in accordance with corporate strategy.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related)

- Minimum three-year experience in product compliance or safety affairs

- Experience with regulatory and certification bodies such as BIS

- English as a second language is a must
