Technical Lead - Database Engineering (8-11 yrs)

Role : Technical Lead - Database Engineering

Experience : 8+ Years

Education : B.Tech/Master's Degree

Location : Bangalore (Hybrid Work)

Responsibilities :

- Design and develop complex SQL queries across platforms such as Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, Redshift, and more.

- Lead the development and maintenance of ETL processes to load and integrate data from various external sources into centralized data platforms.

- Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and compliance with organizational standards during integration.

- Translate business needs into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

- Design and implement robust data architectures to manage information flow and ensure scalability and efficiency.

- Creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting database queries and procedures.

- Should possess in-depth knowledge of T-SQL / PL-SQL Programming, Performance Tuning of complex

queries.

- Hands on experience in developing Stored procedures, UDFs, Views, Indexes

- Should have worked on at least 2 end to end BI-DWH projects

Technical Skills :

- Front Door (Understanding requirements from stakeholders for new developments)

- Data architecture, overall information flow & model design

- Knack for understanding functional construct of product and owning the logical model

- Hands on Data Modeling (DWH, ODS, OLTP) with strong knowledge in technologies like Redshift, MS SQL

Server, PostgreSQL / MySQL, Vertica, Azure Synapse, Oracle etc.

- Achieve product delivery dates and plan for product enhancements

- Design and Develop complex SQL queries and perform data analysis

- SQL Development across Azure SQL / PostgreSQL / Redshift databases

- Reverse engineer existing SQL code on legacy for rewiring it on new platform

- Part of development team responsible for load (ETL) or integrate external data from various sources

Nice to have :

- Experience in CPG / Manufacturing / Retail domain

- Good understanding of Cloud technologies and related concepts

- Experience in working on Big Data tech (e.g. PySpark)
